Take this moment with me. I went on a last minute road trip with my family where we visited 4 National Parks. The first one on that list was Glacier National Park. It's breathtaking. Not only are the views incredible but the place makes you feel alive. The water is such a beautiful blue color it looks photoshopped. I was in awe. While we were on a boat tour we learned that gorgeous color comes from glacier run off. In that same breath, we learned that all the glaciers in Glacier National Park will be gone by 2050 due to global warming. Take this moment with me. Read that again. If that doesn’t make you sick then we are not the same. That statement changed everything for me. It made me realize that I was photographing history. I feel like that sounds dramatic but there are people in my lifetime that will never get to experience these places how I am seeing them now. Glacier National Park will become a symbol of how we humans destroy everything. The sad thing is most people don’t care. It breaks my heart and hopefully it breaks yours too. So what’s my goal right? My goal is to inform you, educate you and motivate you. My goal is to inspire you to go. Witness their beauty before it’s too late. And while you're there listen to them, advocate for them.
